Through a collaboration of the Stratford Partnership for Youth and Families, Community Services, and the Stratford Rotary Club, teen Mental Health First Aid courses are available in Stratford!

teen Mental Health First Aid — teen Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training that teaches teens ages 15-18, how to identify, understand and respond to signs and symptoms of a mental health or substance use challenge among their friends and peers. The program equips young people with the knowledge and skills they need to take care of their own mental health and to support each other, including how to get the help of a trusted adult.

tMHFA classes begin this spring for teens ages 15-18, facilitated by Stratford Community Services and the Stratford Partnership for Youth and Families. Teens are certified after completion of three 90-minute in person classes held at Birdseye Municipal Complex. Makeup classes will be available, but teens should plan to attend all three sessions of the class they register for.

Thanks to Stratford Rotary’s support, the program is free for participants!

If you know a young person interested in attending, please have them reach out to Chelsea Kordiak or fill out the registration form below. Even if you're not sure what dates to attend, teens can be added to the waitlist through the registration form.
